James Brown

James Brown is an entrepreneur, television and radio host, producer, as well as an activist for the inclusion of all people. Brown has been a feature reporter for ABC 4 News in Salt Lake City. He has produced and hosted several local radio and television programs, most notably The James Brown Show, which is being adapted and
targeted for national distribution, he has produced/created several television programs which have garnered a combined viewership well over 160 million available household nationally over there distribution life and are who l currently drawing and growing audiences domestically and currently being sold internationally. Brown’s ability to create innovative edges and opportunities in the production arena and the fact that he takes a hands-on, active approach in developing training programs, youth clubs, and mentoring programs that reflect national issues that interface with the community makes him a stand alone producer.
Among his other achievements, are developing corporate recruiting programs (Discover Card) which focused on youth and minorities, developing diversity training seminars for corporations, as well as programs that provide scholarships for deserving, disadvantaged students. Of recent date Mr. Brown has been responsible for developing one of the finest film and television production studios (Salt Lake Studios) in the western US with films such as High School Musical 3, Darko, American Pastime, National Lampoon, Area 51 and others, this clearly gives James a front row seat in understanding what it takes to produce and deliver quality product at a cost effective price.
James Brown knows what it means to reach out for diversity, having lived in Utah for more then 25 years he has quickly grasped the notion and the need for more diverse programs in the market place and that it is important that we structure our production to incite the minds and notions of our young and diverse populations and at the same time educate our other populations so that they can learn to include and accept a diverse population for positive reason.
Brown has served on numerous national and local boards including, the United Nations International Year of the Family Conference Board, a delegate at the White House Conference on Small Business, Salt Lake Area Gang Project Board of Directors, the Ogden Multi-Cultural Advisory Board, and Bank One’s Minority Advisory Board. Brown, who is a San Francisco native and University of California at Berkeley graduate, is the former president of a record company in Portland Oregon, and former owner of an advertising agency and television production company in Utah and Wyoming.
